Day Five - Rest Day in Lake Tekapo
We had a well-deserved rest day on the scenice shorts of Lake Tekapo, high in the mountains. After our many house struggle through the wind the night before, our legs were pretty sore. We stayed at a lovely B&B with breathtaking views of the mountains and a peaceful garden full of rabbits. Apparently, rabbits are good hunting around here. We did our laundry, read our books, watched some TV and had some refreshing naps. Bonney had spaghetti at a local pasta place both nights. It really hit the spot! Despite its beauty, there aren't a great number of people living in Tekapo so it is very peaceful. The population is only around 350. Our hosts explained that the spot was becoming very popular for people buying vacation homes. For more picture from Day Five, click here.
