Patrick in New York
We forget to tell you! We vacationed in New York city for a week in June.
Here is Patrick after we spent $25 bucks on a pineapple carved out and filled with rum. We had that along with yummy burgers at a cool little restaurant called Trailer Park. The umbrella and plastic monkeys were free.
We rented an apartment in Chelsea and tackled the city. It was VERY hot, but it didn't seem to matter. We spent the week visiting museums and seeing shows. Our favorite musuem was the American Folk Art Museum (right next to the MoMA). The new MoMA was also very nice.
We saw three shows. Spamalot (very broadway and fun), The Pillowman (very intense and our favorite) and Glengary Glen Ross. We think that we are going to make a tradition of taking this trip every two years so that we get the opportunity to see such amazing art.
We had some great meals as well. Patrick got addicted to Tastee Delight and me to Krispy Kreme. It was our nightly stop on the way back to the apartment. Whole Foods is just as expensive for groceries as it it is in Portland. I take that back. It is more expensive. Like we call it, Whole Paycheck.
